Editorial policy

The rules the editorial team commits to following: accuracy, independence, transparency and corrections.

1. Be useful

Every page answers a practical question that visitors ask: what is there to see, how to get there, how much it costs, when to come. We prefer precise, practical information to a vague description.

2. Be accurate

  • Practical information is checked with official sources (the venue’s website, the organiser, the local authority, the Calanques National Park) and dated.
  • Sources are cited at the end of the article.
  • Any figure we publish comes from an identified source and genuinely relates to the subject covered.

3. Stay independent

The choice of places, the order in which they are presented and our opinions cannot be bought. Partner links (activities, accommodation) and advertising fund the guide, but do not influence its content.

4. Label what is paid for

  • Content funded by an advertiser is labelled “Sponsored content” at the top of the article.
  • Advertising spaces are labelled “Advertisement”.
  • Partner links are identified as such next to the booking buttons.

5. Be transparent about our tools

The editors may use writing and translation aids, including artificial intelligence tools. They do not replace checking: practical information and figures follow rules 2 and 3, whatever tool is used.

6. Correct quickly and visibly

A reported error is checked, then corrected, and the article’s update date changes. Every article offers the “Has something changed?” form so you can tell us.

7. Respect people and places

We do not publish photographs of recognisable people without the right to do so, and we remind readers of the rules that protect natural areas, especially in the calanques.

8. Moderate contributions

Events suggested by organisers are reviewed by the editors before publication. Nothing is published automatically.
