Cookie policy (EU)

The cookies and trackers used on My Guide Marseille, what they are for, and how to change your choice.

Your choice, at any time

On your first visit, a message asks for your consent to advertising cookies. You can accept, refuse or choose purpose by purpose. Refusing is as easy as accepting and does not stop you from reading the guide.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Google displays the website’s advertisements. With your consent, Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, personalise them and measure their effectiveness. Without your consent, the ads shown are not personalised. The consent message is provided by Google (a certified platform under the IAB TCF framework); it records your choice in the FCCDCF and FCNEC cookies. Details of how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

  • Audience measurement: Plausible Analytics counts visits without cookies and without personal data (no IP address stored, aggregated statistics, servers in the European Union).
  • Language: a technical cookie (pll_language) remembers the language you have chosen.
  • Travel notebook and polls: the places added to your notebook and the random identifier that prevents voting twice stay in your browser’s local storage. Nothing is sent to a third party; you can erase them by clearing the site data in your browser.

Clicking a GetYourGuide, Civitatis, Expedia or Hotels.com link takes you to the partner’s website, which then sets its own cookies according to its policy. On My Guide Marseille, these clicks are only counted, without cookies or personal data.

Duration

Your choice is kept for no more than 13 months, after which the message is shown to you again.
