A chaotic journey
Before his escape, Amjad lived at the Perce-Neige shelter in Gap. Although he had run away before, he usually returned home every evening. This time, a couple found him in Marseille and took him to the gendarmerie. Instead of being sent back to Gap, he was placed for the night in an emergency shelter in Marseille. The next day, Amjad disappeared again, leaving his mother without news.

Amjad’s mother admits that her son has expressed worrying desires: “He told me he wanted to become chouf at Castellane,” raising concerns about his intentions.
